Helping people reconnect with their Czech roots through genealogy, archives and meaningful heritage journeys.
My Story
My passion has always been helping people discover the stories behind the places they visit. Over the years, that passion naturally evolved into something much more personal, helping families reconnect with their Czech roots through genealogy, history and meaningful travel.
Before founding Czexpat, I spent more than a decade working with international visitors to the Czech Republic in tourism, heritage and client services. Along the way, I also worked with historical collections, developing experience in reading historical documents and old scripts. Those skills, combined with years of guiding visitors across Prague and the Czech Republic, shaped the way I approach every genealogy project today.
For me, genealogy is about much more than names, dates and family trees. It is about understanding the lives of those who came before us, walking through the villages they once called home, visiting the churches where they were baptised and discovering the stories that connect past and present. Through Czexpat, my goal is to transform historical research into personal journeys that help families rediscover where they came from—and create memories that will stay with them for generations.
Professional Journey
A career built on history, international experience and a passion for helping people reconnect with their roots.
International Tourism
For more than a decade, I have worked with international visitors, creating private experiences across Prague and the Czech Republic while gaining a deep understanding of the expectations of travellers from around the world.
Historical Research
My work with historical collections gave me extensive experience working with archival materials and historical scripts, including Kurrent, Schwabacher, Cyrillic, the Greek alphabet and Hebrew. These skills continue to be invaluable when interpreting historical records and conducting genealogy research today.
Licensed Prague Guide
As a licensed Prague guide, I have guided hundreds of international visitors through Prague, the Jewish Quarter, Prague Castle and destinations across the Czech Republic. Combining this experience with genealogy allows me to create heritage journeys that go far beyond traditional sightseeing.
Founder of Czexpat
Like many of my clients, I started with a simple question about my own family history. Researching my ancestors introduced me to the fascinating world of Czech archives, historical records and forgotten family stories. What began as a personal project soon became a lifelong passion, and eventually the foundation of Czexpat. Today, I help families from around the world discover not only where their ancestors came from, but also experience the places where their stories began.
